• Shore Up Tier 1: Ensure Quality Core Instruction and Assessment focuses on increasing the effectiveness of Tier 1 instructional and assessment practices and decreasing the number of students moving into Tier 2 and 3 interventions.  We will address ten of the most effective instructional strategies according to the work of Dr. John Hattie, author of Visible Learning. Friday, February 15, 2013. • What is Universal Design for Learning (UDL) & Why Do I Need to Know About It?: Moving beyond the abstract & into application! Universal Design for Learning is a curriculum framework that emphasizes an integration of multiple learning strategies and content enhancements.  Participants will learn how to use UDL as an instructional framework for proactively designing curricula with the assumption of student diversity. An exceptional opportunity for SPED directors, curriculum developers, assistant superintendents, and technology directors to attend together in hopes that UDL frameworks can be built into curriculum development as well as classroom practices for all educators.  Friday, February 22, 2013. $95 per participant. Building the capacity of schools to maximize student potential.

The Heart of Missouri RPDC offers high-quality professional development opportunities to Mid-Missouri educators, primarily in the form of workshops, consulting, and leading study groups. We offer single introductory workshops like Beginning Teacher Assistance and do year-long initiatives like Satellite Academy. By request we will work with schools in long term work such as Professional Learning Communities, Marzanno teaching strategies and team collaboration training.

We partner with a number of organizations including A Time for Physics First.
